Based on the MOU signed on October 4, 2024, National Taiwan University (NTU), Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), and the University of Tsukuba (UT) have launched a joint initiative in research and education, known as the NTU-UGA-UT Trilateral Center. This initiative aims to strengthen their strategic partnership through collaborative research and educational activities.

To support this initiative, NTU, UGA, and UT have committed to providing matching funds and assisting their researchers and students in initiating and participating in collaborative projects of mutual interest, fostering multidisciplinary, cutting-edge research that creates both academic and societal impact

NTU-UGA-UT Trilateral Center will administer the program by providing matching funds
for the next five years starting 2025. The projects to be supported include:

  • 1.1Cooperation research project
  • 1.2Research workshop
  • 1.3Short-term exchange student internship
  • 1.4Graduate or undergraduate summer/winter school program
  • 1.5Other formats of common interest could be included if identified by the 3 partners during the period of this strategic cooperation (such as in-residence scholar exchange, etc..).
